Kendall Toyota Scion Show: Saturday June 13th

Finally, after a few years of Toyota dealer shows, West Kendall Toyota is sponsoring a huge Scion Show on Saturday June 13th, 2009 at 11:00am. These guys are great, and I am sure the show will reflect it. In partnership with Rey, Team ScionEyed Miami Scion car club president, this show is going to be huge. Also, the owner of http://www.xbcrew.com/ will be there promoting all the Scion xB aftermarket parts available through the site, as well as many other vendors.

Scion Party Crashers

Out of no where the Scion Party Crashers have appeared all over Florida to represent the Scion lifestyle. These guys are a dance crew carrying the Scion ideology to the people of Florida at night clubs and car shows. TSE Miami was lucky to have them come to our Wednesday car club meet, no other South Florida Scion club can currently claim that. They also brought their troop to the Battle of the Scions 2008 car show this past weekend. They put on a main show that gathered a crowd as they hit the mats. Battle of the Scions 2008

On November 8th TSE Miami represented at the "Battle of the Scions" show. We came 23 cars strong, making up about one third of the entrants. The show itself was cool, the cars were great, the music was better than normal, the free food never ran out, and it was a good time by all. Of course the ride there and back are always a highlight favorite as well. I had a dash mounted video camera for the ride out, but it needs to be edited. As soon as it is complete I will post it on the TSE Miami car club site.

There are also a bunch of pics on our Scionlife forum to view as well. As far as the show itself TSE took home 2nd and 3rd place for over all xB's. The judging was performed by two sets of judges. The first set literally admitted to looking for "neons, leds and stickers." Well, when hearing this first hand you know that now you are only there for the free food. Why? Well, judging like that.... blows. It takes the steam away from the winners of the show, seeing as how 1/2 of the judging was based on Pep Boys accessory aisle mods. However, there was a saving grace in the second judging group who took twice as long to judge, because they were actually looking at the cars. These two were a much better caliber of judge (in contrast to our Fast and the Furious-Pep Boys judges in the prior group). They did not notice it all, but they did pay attention and award you points for the things that the owners took their time and pointed out to them. I had a printed page of every mod I have done to my car attached to it, and they both literally stopped and read the whole thing, then took the time to find everything listed. I know it was this that helped me place, since the other judging group asked me"Do you have lights?" .. after thinking to myself "This is a daytime show you idiots", I said "No" and they walked away from my car without looking at it.

Anyway, the club showed strong and we came to play. You cannot deny our presence and to the comments made by a member of the "other car club" on Scionlife after the show, about how they out placed us for best club.. Well, I am happy the judging by Pep Boys show did pick you and not us, you fit that mold much better. Meet us at HIN Miami and we will compare score sheets at a real show.. beeeotches!!!!!!!!!!!

Team Scion Eyed Miami-Moes Mondays-10/6/08

Moe's Monday meet not only brought together the huge gathering of dedicated TSE members and friends, but also saw the introduction of three new members. So, please take some time and welcome our new team members. Added to the TSE line up was one sick looking tC and two hot boxes.

Kicking off October with a huge turn out at the Team Scion Eyed Miami wednesday meet spot at the Okeechobee Road Arby's, off the 826 exit. The guys met up, hung out, and then rode out to Hooters in Doral. When we meet, this club is a garaunteed to show Miami what the Scion scene is all about.

Miami Scion Car Club: TSE Miami

Looking for a Miami Scion club, you came to the right place. Team Scion Eyed is simply the largest club of its kind in the area. Team Scion Eyed Miami club was formed in 2007 with just 2 members, it now boasts over 21 official club members and over 20 current club prospects.

Team Scion Eyed Miami was born from Team Scion Eyed in Texas. Team Scion Eyed in Texas is the original club chapter and was launched in 2004 with the Scion line, making it one of the first Scion dedicated clubs. The "no fee" club philosophy, Scion family atmosphere, and the sheer size of the original club's chapter (In the Hundreds in multiple cities) motivated our club President, Rey, to launch a Team Scion Eyed club chapter. Developing it into the largest Scion clubs down here, in just over a year. The idea is to simply bring all Scion owners together in a friendly club and combine our Scion styles and beliefs into one large club, were all are welcome.

So how does a large Scion club do these things without club fees? Again, modeled after the club ideals of Team Scion Eyed Texas, Rey developed a Scion dealership sponsored show program where he organizes the Scion show, and the Scion dealer sponsors it financially. In return we attend these shows without an entry fee and have received reimbursement by the dealership for the number of entrants we provided. At major shows, like Hot Import Nights, we reserve a large area within the show for our club members, paying for this space versus standard, car by car, entry fees dramatically reduces the club cost to each of the club members. These shows are voluntary and the final entry fee is determined well in advance for those that wish to attend. At Team Scion Eyed club events, such as club barbeques, each member is requested to bring one item so it can be pooled together. For instance, one may bring hotdogs, another a grill, and another chips... etc. we also offer a PayPal donations button that will apply all donations to sponsoring these events, or drop the cost of shirts, etc.,.

Team Scion Eyed also holds monthly ride outs and photo shoots. During these, the club meets at a location and drives in a pack to a club photo shoot location. We have multiple club photographers who do the work, Photoshop them, and post them up for all of us to share. Afterwards, it is not uncommon to ride out to a location for food or possibly another shoot location. Members are free to leave at anytime, given their personal schedules.

In the end, no other Scion Car club can offer you what Team Scion Eyed Miami Chapter can, or at least not as often. As membership grows the goals become bigger and bigger and all reap the benefits.
